Volunteer of the Month
Congratulations to Bella Marx!
As a co-founder of Care Crew, Bella Marx has played a crucial role in evolving Care Crew into what it is today. She has been an essential member of Care Crew since its creation in 2018, when she along with a troop of Girl Scouts sought to create an non-profit organization that's impact would last beyond the founder’s high school years. She was involved in early Care Crew activities including distributing food at Saint George’s Soup Kitchen and the annual book drive, now being a frequent tutor at the Lake Park Library. She devotes over three hours weekly to tutoring children, acquiring an impressive 110+ hours of service over the past years. Despite all the hours devoted to weekly tutoring, Bella Marx stated that staying organized has been vital in balancing Care Crew with academics and sports. In addition to tutoring, She is certified to teach English to any individuals who might be new to the language through the ESOL program. She frequently posts on the Care Crew Instagram account to promote upcoming events and share Care Crew’s impact. Bella Marx has greatly contributed to Care Crew’s growth over the years, especially through her long-term commitment and remarkable amount of hours devoted to tutoring.
Every month Care Crew recognizes a member who has gone above and beyond in bettering the community and ensuring our mission of being here to help is always true.
